Kitchen Remodel

I've been a little MIA lately but with good reason... we had our sweet baby boy! We have been soaking up lots of family time and fresh newborn snuggles. I'll share his birth story this week along with some photos!

Before I forget I wanted to be sure and share our before and afters of our kitchen remodel! When we moved in, one of the first things we noticed was there was no pantry. The kitchen is pretty average size yet it was the world's worst layout and use of space. We decided to gut the whole thing, add a pantry and way more storage, we are really loving how it turned out!

This photo is even after we had taken down the dark brown molding they had on the top!

We went with the white shaker cabinets to make the space feel larger, clean and bright. There is no kitchen window right in the kitchen space but just doing white has made it feel completely open and fresh. We ditched the small cabinet above the sink, added the subway tile all the way up and a light which also helps with the clean open concept feel. There was a lot of stress, some tears and a lot of "what were we thinking" during the process but we really love how it all came together. We're loving having a space we love to come home to and spend time in!
